Kota Bharu: There was no doubt about the performance of The Red Warriors’ defensive line as they showed the best performance throughout the Malaysia Premier League 2022 and stayed on the top of the league until now.
Having conceded 9 goals in 15 league matches, the Kelantanese goalkeeper, Nik Amin knows the simple secret of team’s success is not to let the ball pass him by. Nik Amin stated, keeping a clean sheet is important not only for him but for the whole team.
“It is an objective for us in the defensive line to stop any opposing team from winning a match,” said Nik Amin.
“For me, everyone in the team has their own contribution to defend, even the strikers helping defensively. We all work together in completing our objective”, he added.
Goalkeeper is an inclusive role yet crucial for a team. Shot-stopping and reflex remain as an important key. It is a position of eccentrics. For Nik Amin, he is aware of the threats by Terengganu FC II.
“We have an important match ahead. It is imperative to get the full points that you can get against those sides. In all aspects, we have to focus and keep scoring goals”, he said.
“Playing on a sunny day is not difficult for us. Both teams play on the same ground, same weather and same mission. The best team wins,” he added.
Nik Amin also saluted thousands of TRW Kelantan FCs’ supporters for the outstanding attendance.
“A part of the players, I would like to thank all of the supporters for their contribution. I am proud to perform in an amazing ambience”, said Nik Amin
